I recently read this really great post about Internet Marketing Trends in 2009, so I decided to write my own post about this topic and share my thoughts on what’s hot in marketing this year.

2. As more and more people seek out internet fortunes and build their businesses, there is becoming an increasing need to be more visible and stand out among all this new competition. For this reason, the new marketing tool of choice seems to be video marketing. Creating videos for is a great way for people to see the real person behind the business venture. You can capture their attention, show them visuals, utilize free marketing spaces like youtube.com, and tap into marketing opportunities you never would have had before. That means that 1/3 of the stuff that happens online is happening on youtube, so if you are not in it yet, you are definitely missing out!

3. With a struggling economy, you will find a few things happening in internet marketing right now. First and foremost, entrepreneurs are moving away from Pay-Per Click Advertising and downsizing in an effort to reduce spending and make the most of what they already have.

4. Internet Entrepreneurs are also taking advantage of Social Networking websites, eagerly trying to figure out how to promote a business on social networking websites.

5. Last, but not least, business owners like myself are realizing that people are not spending as much as they used to, so in order to stay afloat entrepreneurs must learn how to make extra income, especially passive income online.
