How many businesses are you buying into?

I’m always busy right, but I always make it a point to call my favorite girlfriends at least once a month to reconnect. Anyhoo… during a recent heart-to-heart, one of my gal pals told me her Big Sis is quite the busy BEE. She bought into about 10 businesses in 2009 Avon and Body Magic (just to name a few) and she is bringing her lil’ sis along for the ride in 2010! 10 Businesses I thought! Seriously … I’ve expanded my business into multiple avenues but I can’t imagine doing 10 different things all together. Especially if your buying into business ventures rather than investing into a solid business that actually makes sales. Of course that little tid-bit of information turned into a long conversation about how so many sistas are buying into businesses and struggling to make sales.

I’ve learned a few things about network marketing and trying to build an online business:

1. There is ALOT of Competition in the Network Marketing | MLM World
2. It often feels like everyone is trying to sell you the same things (especially on my BBWO Social Network)
3. If you are going to sell products in an over saturated market DON’T Mirror the masses
4. DON’T Buy into Businesses like you are eating chips!
5. It’s not about stumbling onto an easy business venture you can put on auto pilot
6. Every Business – even one’s that look DONE FOR YOU – require work and a personal investment
7. Your business should pay you … not the other way around.
8. If you aren’t seeing a return on your investment take a leap to GET IT Right OR GIVE IT UP

I personally prefer Affiliate Marketing over MLM Marketing because I hate start-up costs. More over, as a Smart Business Sista, I like to minimize expenses wherever possible. If you love what you sell, by all means stick with it. But quit it if your just in it to make extra money. In my opinion, Affiliate Marketing is a far easier, less expensive solution to generating extra income online.
