How to Convert More Customers Using ConvertKit: Conversion Marketing, Client Attraction, and Sales

If you build it they will come. When the internet was fresh and new, nobody really knew how to use websites to make money, especially prior to the online shopping era that we’ve grown to know and love today. For this reason, many entrepreneurs and business owners fell for the myth that anyone could make easy money online by simply creating a website. Today as savvy entrepreneurs and online shoppers, we know it takes a lot more than simply setting up a website or online shop to attract and convert customers. When you create a website for your business, you also need to create an email list. 

Create An Email List

As an online business owner, your email list is your most important asset. Second to creating quality offers, you should be investing a good portion of your time into building a quality email list. Today let’s talk about how you can strategically make more money in your business by using ConvertKit to improve your conversion marketing, client attraction, and online sales efforts.

Set up Freebies and Upsell Offers 

When most entrepreneurs get started with list building, they focus on creating a business newsletter and/or freebie lead magnet; which can be used to encourage people to sign up to your email list in exchange for valuable content. Once someone signs up to your list, you should also have an immediate upsell offer and sales funnels in place. What does that mean? If someone signs up for a freebie from me, I immediately direct them to a related paid offer; which is a clever way to consistently make money through email automation and simple sales funnels

For example, upon signup, my free Brand Like a Boss Toolkit landing page immediately directs new subscribers to an exclusive reduced-rate discount on my full Brand Like a Boss Bundle. While it would be amazing if each new subscriber turned into a new customer, it doesn’t always work that way. This is exactly why creating sales funnels with ConvertKit is a great way to boost your online sales. This basically means that you should regularly create funnels by setting up a series of emails that are automatically delivered to new subscribers over several days or weeks that contain valuable content and compelling reasons to try or buy your irresistible offers. 

Automatically Capture New Customer Emails

I regularly create and share new freebie offers on ConvertKit to attract new subscribers and consistently make money online. These are great ways to get started with email marketing, but they honestly just scratch the surface of what you can do.
