BRITE Beginnings:
While the BRITE Colours Collective Officially Launched August 2016, the first featured series is actually over 10 years old. The First BRITE Colours Brand is Lil’ Bits Kids designed by LaShanda Henry and established back in 2006 on the MSOY Network.

Lil’ Bits Kids Collection is a multi-cultural series for all children; designed with Children of Color in mind: African-American Children, Caribbean Children, Black Children, Bi-Racial Children, Hispanic Children.

BRITE Colours Giveback Goals:
LaShanda Henry has personally donated to crowdfunding initiatives in support of creative Black Entrepreneurs and youth organizations including:

• Black Girls Code technology training for girls and social entrepreneurship
• Steve Harvey Ride for Charity as part of the Steve and Majorie Harvey Foundation
• The #ProjectDiane Documentary highlighting black women in technology

Ms. Henry aims to increase this support by committing 15% of BRITE Colour proceeds to benefit youth organizations, technology initiatives, and minority entrepreneurs who are equally committed to making positive contributions within the black community.
