[Day #8] Confusion to Clarity: Discover Your Next Right Step

You are confused not because you don’t know what to do, but because you won’t do what you know.

This is day #8 inside 12 Days of Fire and Focus.

First and foremost let’s talk about the elephant in the room.

Is there something that you should be doing right now that you have been putting off?

If you want to finish the year strong, make sure you go to that one thing asap.

Even if that means just taking the first step to getting started.

Sometimes we say we are confused (but really know what to do).

Then there are other times, when true clarity requires the help of someone else; an extra pair of eyes are needed to look deeply at the situation.

Today, for example, I was on a clarity call with one of my insider circle clients.

While she was reflecting on a year with wonderful new clients and offers, she also voiced frustration around having difficulty connecting with her audience online.

She said, “I don’t know what’s not working, fix it.”

I put on my “Olivia Pope” glasses, took a good look at her situation and suggested two smart ways to make deeper connections with people online.

At first, when I told her what to do she said, “I hear you, but I don’t get it. I’m not hearing IT.”

I knew what that meant and so I asked her to give me three examples of what she was presently doing to create content and conversations online.
For each example, I then provided a counterexample that was more in depth; allowing for more engagement and potential traffic.

Then things started to click and she got clear!

“It sounds so compelling when you say it,” she smiled on the other end of the line.

Confusion into clarity… That’s what it’s all about.

This is an important story to share with you today because perhaps your confusion is coming from the fact that you know of a solution that should work for you, but you don’t know how to apply that solution to what you are doing.

Find someone to springboard your ideas off of (asap).

As a matter of fact, I just had a great power session with my hubby on Sunday that saved me time and effort and even a little embarrassment too.
