When I was working full time, I always had a side hustle doing computer consulting. Extra money was always a good thing, but of course when I turned my online business into a full time work at home gig that was a great thing! Since December I’ve been asking you all to send me your marketing questions (here) and funny enough I see that someone posted a question on my myspace page.
“I need a side hustle, something that doesn’t require home parties and I can do from home with my children. What does a person do that has no skills and isn’t crafty?” – Michelle
My Response: There are actually alot of things that you can do to make extra money, without spending a ton of money to startup. I for one love love love the service industry. If you have a skill, chances are there are people out there who will pay you for your time. My first real side-hustle was designing websites and working on local computer consulting gigs in NY. Overtime I expanded my services to include banner design, print graphic design, and coaching. … But I’m a computer GEEK so I love doing anything computer related, but the skies the limit when it comes to the service industry.

As you point out, a “side hustle” that takes off can become a full-time gig. That’s even more reason to invest in trying something “extracurricular”. You never know where it will take you!
