Today let’s talk about irresistible offers. What are they? What are some of my best types of irresistible offers? And how can you start selling more irresistible offers in your business?
Michael Hunter from PersonalBrand.com said it best, “An irresistible offer is simply a strategic structuring of your products and/or services where the value-to-cost ratio is value-heavy. Meaning that the value of your offer FAR exceeds the cost to access the value.” In other words, you want to create an offer where the perceived value is so high that your potential customers won’t be able to resist making a purchase. An easy “yes”, you want to create an offer that is so compelling and appealing that it practically sells itself. You want your ideal customers to think to themselves, “I have to have this now. This is exactly what I need. This has everything that I want and more.”
My not-so-secret strategy for creating irresistible offers is to build what I like to call, big beautiful bundles. Offering potential customers the best bang for their buck, my bundles are always full of irresistible “good goods” because they include a combination of products and services that are unique to my business brand. I like to include things like exclusive access to digital content, live real-time experiences, done-for-you services, done-with-you mentorship, private coaching, on-demand contact, and extra bonuses that compliment the primary offer.
#1 Turn Your Skills into Irresistible Offers
The easiest person to sell to is actually someone you don’t have to sell to. In other words, when someone already knows that they need what you’ve got, you don’t have to convince them of its value. It’s easier to convert high-interest browsers into buyers because they already know that they want to work with you. For this reason, offering my skills in the form of Done For You Services is one of my best-selling irresistible offers. People would always ask me if I could create designs for them that were similar to what I created for myself, so I decided to turn my sought-after design skills into premium offers.
As I worked on building my client base, I also created smaller graphic design packages that served as low price point starter offers leading to the higher price point options. Could you turn some of your skills into irresistible offers? Make a list of Done For You Services that you could offer at both premium and entry-level rates. And remember not to dismiss those skills you feel come easily or naturally to you. Sometimes we have a bad habit of talking ourselves out of greatness with thoughts like, “anybody could do that” or “no one would pay me for that.” Do your due diligence by researching viable target markets that are in need of someone with your gifts and talents.
#4 Turn Your Training into Irresistible Offers
We all know the famous Chinese Proverb, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” For as many people who want done-for-your services, there are equally as many people who want do-it-yourself training or done-with-you solutions. For this reason, I regularly offer monthly, one-day, and three-day webinar workshops to teach clients various skills they would like to be able to master for themselves. I also think that creating training sessions is a smart thing to do as a service professional because digital products are scalable.
As a service provider, I can only complete a handful of done-for-you projects at one time. As a digital content creator, I can work with an unlimited number of clients via my virtual webinar training, all of which can be offered in pre-recorded, live, and replay formats at a variety of price points. Between my mastermind and quarterly weekend workshop, I generate consistent revenue by regularly offering webinar workshops on a monthly basis. Think about what kinds of webinars you can host for your audience. What things can you show others how to do?
#6 Turn Your Collections into Irresistible Offers
With over two decades worth of focus on content creation, I have my own personal information empire full of digital products. I am a big fan of repurposing content, so I regularly release bundled offers of my best content in the form of self-paced courses, digital libraries, kits, subscription programs, and big beautiful bonuses attached to high ticket offers.
You can burn out quickly under the pressure of trying to create new products all the time, so finding smart ways to turn old offers into new money is one of my favorite profitable productivity hacks. I think it’s unfortunate that so many entrepreneurs are not maximizing the profit potential of their previous products as much as they should. Carve out some time to make a list of all your digital assets. Think about how you get into the habit of repurposing your content more often; finding creative ways to turn your collections into cash flow.
