What is missing from your marketing strategy?

Not a week goes by that I don’t get at least one request from a reader who is interested in learning about new ways to market their website. In between posting internet marketing tips and listing business resources I wanted to take a minute and ask you a few very important questions:

How have you been marketing your site thus far? And what do you think is missing from your marketing strategy?

I would like you to really think about these questions as a way of possibly dissecting your online marketing efforts thus far, and giving me a sense of where you are so that I can better help provide suggestions about building your web presence online. To be quite honest, for all the web tips and business events that you read the only way that you are really going to get the most out of your marketing efforts is through time, work, investing in ad marketing, discovering/ realistically implementing innovative ways to reach your target audience.

That being said, think about it and let me know because we could all stand to improve our marketing skills. To start things off I will answer the question myself:

Hmmm… What is missing from my internet marketing strategy? Though I have worked very hard at utilizing some online marketing techniques, I have yet to really tap into others. I have yet to perfect the art of blogging on a consistent basis or creating strong alliances with other bloggers. I have done well as far as optimizing my websites for google, but I would like to spend more time marketing certain keywords that I would like to get more hits from. I also need to write more press releases in addition to those I create on my blogs so that I can tap into sites like pr wire. So in Addition to doing everything that I’m doing (I’m quite busy) I need to break my routine and make time to utilize other marketing strategies that I have yet to tap into.
